Ruth's Response to Crisis
In the time of the Judges, a man named Elimelech and his family departed Bethlehem and moved to the pagan country of the Moabites. There they settled and became part of the community. Tragedy struck and Elimelech died. Not long after both of his sons died. His wife Naomi was left alone with her two daughter-in-laws: Ruth and Orpah.
